Bringing music to the community

Orchestra Geelong is Geelong’s long running and beloved community orchestra, running for almost forty years - since 1983.

 

Comprising professional, amateur and student musicians, Orchestra Geelong is a full symphony orchestra which beautifully performs a diverse range of classical music at a concert series in Geelong each year.

​

The players of the Orchestra Geelong are committed to "bringing music to the community" and enjoy a wonderful camaraderie. We love to learn from each other and we love to have young musicians join us and enjoy the experience of being part of a full symphony orchestra.

 

We perform a diverse range of music presented in each concert, and feature many fine vocal and instrumental soloists as well as combining with other musical groups to present major choral and orchestral works.
