Introducing: Our Secretary & Marketing and Publicity Manager

Meet Olivia Sagor, our Secretary, Marketing and Publicity Manager, Principal cello (and sometimes horn player).

Olivia has been part of the music community in Geelong since she was in Primary School- singing in choirs and playing every possible instrument she could get her hands on. Though she is passionate about all areas of music, she eventually found a great love for playing the cello in high school. Since then, she has been teaching cello, double bass and viola as an IMT at The Geelong College and Geelong Lutheran College. She has also been learning the French horn and sometimes takes this out instead of the cello at orchestra! She is learning how to conduct from Orchestra Geelong's own Maestro, Hayden Dinse, and has been conducting the Geelong Youth Orchestra since the start of 2025.

Olivia is also enjoying composing orchestral music, as well as arranging for small ensembles. She is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Music at UNE.

Olivia has been part of Orchestra Geelong since 2023.

"Orchestra Geelong is a safe place to learn and grow, express your musicality and have a laugh along the way. Orchestra Geelong is a joyful music community full of people who leave you smiling."
